The restructuring of our workflow and Figma files and the adoption of a more structured presentation approach significantly enhanced team collaboration and stakeholder engagement, streamlining the review and handoff process, improving the overall efficiency of our project workflow.
What led me to improve
As our team grew, I saw the urgent need to streamline our workflow and Figma file organization to enhance presentations and reviews, particularly for high-stake stakeholders like the CTO, ensuring clarity on project objectives and facilitating their decision-making process.
Figma Improvements
After some research on design workflows, I reorganized our Figma files to include a cover page, handoff page, exploration section, design reviews, and an archive, greatly improving project accessibility and enhancing collaboration across all teams, especially during design reviews.
Review Improvements
I refined our design review presentations by outlining the requirements, objectives, and research, then detailing the platform's modifications, design explorations, and the final solution, ensuring it met requirements and enhanced user experience. This approach streamlined stakeholder reviews, preventing redundancy and ensuring clear understanding of our findings and recommendations.
All of this was documented in our confluence design documentation.
